Last week, Dr. LaGrone was welcomed back to Oregon Pediatrics after being overseas on a disaster relief mission. He is a member of the non-profit Medical Teams International – Rapid Disaster Response Unit and was called on to respond to the November 8th Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
While there for over two weeks, he was part of a medical team that treated over 500 patients daily, treatments ranging from dehydration to wound care, and for most patients it was the first healthcare they had been provided since the typhoon hit.
Oregon Pediatrics is grateful to Dr. LaGrone for all of the work he has done for the Philippines relief effort. Upon returning, Dr. LaGrone said he is eager to get back to his passion: pediatrics.
