LPC – Clinical Supervisor
I believe that everyone has innate value, worth, and dignity. My approach to counseling strives to meet youth and families where they are, identify strengths and resources, and together create new ways of healthy functioning. My counseling approach comes from a systems perspective, which considers the whole person (physical, psychological, relational, spiritual) in their whole context (family, community, school, etc.).
I believe parents are the most important people in the lives of young people, and so I welcome parental involvement throughout the course of treatment.
I obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling from Western Seminary in 2014, and have experience working with individuals, couples and families in multiple settings, including inpatient drug and alcohol centers, community mental health, schools, hospitals and private practice. As a licensed therapist with the state of Oregon, I am required to complete a minimum of 20 continuing education and/or additional training hours annually and meet Oregon standards for license renewal each year.
Consultation with other behavioral health providers, as well as with the medical staff at Clackamas & Oregon Pediatrics, is a regular part of my counseling practice. All members of these sessions also adhere to and abide by the Oregon Code of Ethics and any discussion or recording of your session will be kept confidential according to Oregon ethic standards and HIPAA. All efforts will be made to maintain patient confidentiality while also integrating with the patient’s health provider(s) to the extent necessary to provide continuity and total person care.
